Welcome to sciphile.org, a free site dedicated to exploring and teaching science.

About Us

Sciphile.org hosts a library of science demonstrations, experiments, activities and lessons. You are welcome to browse through our collection, whether you are looking for materials for your next class, something to occupy the kids for the afternoon, inspiration for your next backyard invention, or just a little entertainment. All of our materials are freely available for educational or personal use. Please rate and comment on anything you try out.

Sign up for a free member account to gain access to many additional features and submit your own brilliant contributions to the library. We'd love to hear from you.

Getting Started

Get started browsing our lesson library by clicking the LESSONS link in the top menu bar or by using the button below.

Browse Lessons

You can filter and sort lessons according to criteria that are important to you, then examine a list of short descriptions to find something that strikes your fancy. Clicking on a title brings you to the lesson, which focuses on a single science issue with one or more related activities, including general background in the subject, suggestions for discussion, equipment lists and suppliers, and ancillary materials for the classroom (lecture slides, worksheets, quizzes, etc.).

Check out our Getting Started Browsing guide for a tour of the site content. There are more Getting Started guides for other aspects of the site under the GETTING STARTED menu item in the top menu bar.
